Overview

LG G6 deals

The LG G6 is perhaps the closest thing to a perfect phone LG has ever made. Gone is the painted metal of the LG G5 and the plastic and leather options of the LG G4, and in their place there’s a far more refined and premium design, with two glass panels sandwiched between a metal frame.

The LG G6 also has tiny bezels around the screen, for a front-filling display that’s a massive 5.7 inches and a super sharp 1440 x 2880. That gives it a pixel density of 564 pixels per inch, and it has an unusual aspect ratio which allows you to run two apps at once in perfectly square windows.

It’s an HDR screen too, so you can bring video to life with HDR content. Plus, it has an always on display, so you can see the time and notifications without pressing a button.

The LG G6 is also IP68 certified water and dust resistant, so it’s as strong as it is stylish, and despite the slim 7.9mm thick frame LG has managed to squeeze in a large 3300mAh battery.

There’s also plenty of storage, with 32 or 64GB built in and a microSD card slot with support for up to 256GB more.

As usual with LG, the camera here impresses, with not one but two 13MP snappers on the back – one normal and one wide-angle, so you can choose which one to use, and benefit from optical image stabilisation for steady snaps.

The camera also benefits from that 18:9 aspect ratio screen, as you can use half the display as a viewfinder and the other half to instantly see the last snap you took.

Of course, as a flagship phone there’s plenty of power under the hood too, with the LG G6 packing a high-end Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at up to 2.35GHz, and paired with 4GB of RAM.

The LG G6 also has a speedy fingerprint scanner on the back for all of your security needs, plus fast charging, a 5MP front-facing camera and Android 7.0 Nougat software. That includes killer features like the new Google Assistant to help you out hands free.

It’s a top phone all round then, with a great screen, lots of power, an innovative camera, a big battery and a stylish design.
